Lesson Objectives: Understand how the Arduino printed values relate to the input voltage. Graph and analyze data produced by an Arduino. Learn about Data Streamer, a Microsoft Excel Add-in to assist data analysis.
The materials required are the same as for Lesson #4 as this lesson will collect and analyze data produced by the photoresistor:
- Breadboard
- Wires
- Microprocessor with cable
- LED
- Resistors (100 and 10k Ohms)
- Photoresistor (light dependent resistor, mine is a GL5539)
- The Arduino sketch code and schematic from Lesson #4.
- Microsoft Excel
Other helpful links that will assist with learning the content in this video:
- Microsoft’s DataStreamer is available for free for any Office 365 subscribers.
- DataStreamer is becoming utilized in high school classrooms as a way to simplify data collection for younger learners. A good explanation of this add-in and directions on how to enable this add-in can be found here.
