Instructors will most likely have their own expectations for their students. Check with your instructor to see how they would like your Arduino notebook be set up. The following are things I expect my students to include in their notebooks. I tell them to treat it like a lab notebook. There should be evidence of work completed and reasoning behind each lesson.
- Table of Contents with date, title, and pages.
- Title of lesson
- Page numbers
- Objective
- Materials used
- Circuit diagrams or schematics
- Sketch revisions (It is good to keep track of what sketches you used in each lesson as you might steal parts of these lessons for your instrument design.)
- Important equations/calculations (if applicable)
- Observations
- Analyzed data (if applicable)
- Lessons learned or discussion
